(For Elana, this is occurring after Jak II, but before Jak 3)

1. Why did you enter the Pageant? What do you hope to achieve by participating in this pageant?

Well, there were a few reasons. The first reason is my friends. They think I have a chance, and that this will be a ‘character building’ experience. The other reason is, yes, the prizes. What do I hope to achieve? Well, besides making my friends happy that I entered, and maybe winning something…nothings coming to mind.


2. Why should you be Miss/Mister OC?

Well, and these are my friends words, I’m smart, beautiful, unique, and perfect for this.


3. What is your full name?

Elana Lauren Metts


4. What do you think of this name?

I’m fine with my name.


5. Would you change your name? What to (if no, pretend you had to)?

No. If I had to change my name though, I guess I would change my first and last name to Kara Smyth. That was my mother’s first and last name before she married my father.


6. Do you have any nicknames?

Sometimes, I’m called Lana, but usually people use my actual name.


7. Do you have any titles?

Does Ma’am count?


8. When is your birthday and how old are you?

My birthday is July 6, and I am 25 years old.


9. How is life going for you right now?

Pretty good. With Haven City safe for now, I can, for the most part, relax.


10. Do you have any tattoos? Do you want any?

Well, there are the tattoos on my face.


11. Describe your physical appearance and outfit in detail. Why did you choose this outfit?

I am 5 foot 5 inches tall, have blue eyes, pale skin, and long, blond hair. I wear a purple shirt with gold-colored trim. I wear olive-green pants and purple shoes that match my shirt. I also…wait, why am I telling you how I look? You’re not blind. Why do I wear this? Two reasons. One, it’s comfortable. Two, It looks good on me.


12. Describe your personality.

I am very loyal to people I trust. However, I don’t trust easily. I usually seem cruel and standoffish at first, but I’m actually sensitive and kind…well, to people I like at least.


13. What is something you really want people to know about you, but never had the proper chance to inform them?

I’m not as cruel as many people think.


14. Where were you born, and where do you live now?

I was born, raised, and now live in Haven City


15. What sort of home do you live in (building type: apartment, shack fortress, etc.)?

I currently live in a comfortable two-bedroom apartment.


16. Describe your bedroom/the state of your bedroom.

For the most part, my room is clean. I do have a small pile or two of clothes on the floor and a messy stack of diagrams and whatnot, but yeah, fairly clean.


17. Where are you employed?

I’m employed by the Haven City government.


18. What is your current job? Do you like it?

I’m part of the Freedom Fighters. You’ve heard of Torn, right? If not, he’s basically in charge. Well, I’m next in line when it comes to rank. Yes, I do like my job.


19. What do you think of your employer and coworkers?

They are my closest friends.


20. How did you become employed at your current job?

I know Torn and Ashelin, and they know I’m a good fighter.


21. How are you at job interviews?

I’ve honestly never had one before. I didn’t need to be interviewed for my job; it was basically handed to me.


22. What is your dream job?

I’m living my dream, I suppose.


23. Do you have a favorite color? Food? Possession?

Why would I have a favorite color? As for food, I do enjoy fruit, and chocolate, and chocolate dipped fruit…I’m sorry, what? Oh, my favorite possession? That would be my mother’s old wedding ring.


24. What are a few of your other favorite things?

I do enjoy target practice, Zoomer racing, and the occasional walk in the woods.


25. What are a few of your least favorite things?

Krimson Guards, Metal Heads, Errol…does he count as a ‘thing?’


26. What are your shortcomings or weaknesses (physically, mentally, and romantically)?

I’d rather not answer that, if you don’t mind.


27. What are your strengths?

Well, I’m fairly strong, smart, and I’m very good at lying to people.


28. In what way(s) are you proud of yourself?

I don’t crack easily under pressure


29. Do you consider yourself to be intelligent?

Yes.


30. Do you have a code of honor that you live by?

Uhh…no.


31. Do people tend to read you wrong or have certain misconceptions about you?

Yep.


32. Are you good at reading people?

Nope.


33. Do you prefer to be alone or in a group?

I usually prefer to be alone, but both have their times and places.


34. Is there something or someone you miss?

My parents…


35. What have you accomplished in life so far?

I successfully helped ward off a metal head invasion, and conned a man for almost two years. Do those things count?


36. What have you failed at in life so far?

I’d rather not say.


37. What are your vices, or guilty pleasures?

heheheh…


38. Do you have any addictions?

Sometimes I become a little violent, competitive, and trigger-happy, but I’m not sure if that counts.


39. Are you mischievous/rebellious/trouble making?

I suppose I can be called that.


40. Are you wanted for any crimes?

I used to, but after Ashelin took over Haven city I was pardoned.


41. Do you regularly commit crimes?

Nope.


42. What kind of problems or situations do you usually run into?

All sorts of problems, but none I can’t handle.


43. How do you handle stressful situations?

Very well, and trust me when I say that I have been in many stressful situations.


44. In all honesty, if your city/world was to suddenly be invaded by a massive force (metal heads, dark makers, robots, zombies, etc.), would you be able to survive?

Been there, done that.


45. What are your finances like? Do you value money? Are you good at saving money?

It’s fine. Money doesn’t matter too much to me…unless there’s something expensive that I want. As for saving money…yeah, I’d say I’m pretty good at it.


46. Describe your normal/daily routine.

Uh, wake up, go for a jog, have breakfast, go to work, scare the crap out of some new Freedom Fighters, get off of work, go have some drinks with Torn at The Naughty Ottsel, go home, and…that about does it.


47. Describe your typical weekend plans.

It varies. Sometimes I’ve got so much work I don’t have time for anything else, but usually I have time to go out or drink with Torn. To be honest, and I don’t think too many people should know about this, Torn and I sometimes brings the drinks to work.  I also go to the gun range to both hone my skills and test new guns.


48. What are a few quirks of yours?

Well, when I’m extremely bored, I start messing with my eyebrows.


49. What types of music do you enjoy?

All music’s good, depending on the time.


50. Do you like to dance? Are you good at it?

Meh. Dancing is okay, and I suppose I’m okay at dancing.


51. How healthy is your self-esteem?

My self esteem is pretty good. In other words, I can’t complain.


52. In all honesty, do you like yourself?

Yeah. At least, I’d rather be me that some other lady.


53. What is your favorite physical attribute?

Do I have to choose? Yes? Okay…I guess…my legs.


54. What is your least favorite physical attribute?

My toes…they’re a little weird.


55. Is there anything, physical or mental, you would like to change about yourself?

No, not really.

Author’s Corner:

1. How did you come up with the idea for this character?

Whenever I play a game (or watch a movie or show), I always find that if I have a character that is my own in said thing, I get into it more. Plus, Torn is awesome!


2. How similar is this character to you and how do you feel about that?

There are some small details in her that I think reflect me, and I feel perfectly okay with that. (After all, I designed her like that)
